A Day in the Life of Hannah
Hello! Welcome to my sports blog. My name is Hannah Hammonds and I am currently a senior at the University of Alabama, majoring in News Media with a sports concentration and minoring in Communication Studies.
During my time at the University of Alabama, I have had the opportunity to work as a sports and news reporter at WVUA 23, co-host “The Student Section” at WVUA-FM 90.7 The Capstone, where I also work as a beat writer and podcast contributor.
Through my internship at WVUA-FM 90.7 The Capstone, I have fallen in love with sports broadcasting and plan to pursue a career in the sports broadcasting industry after college. My dream is to someday work for a market such as CBS Sports Radio and I aspire to be like my role models Amy Lawrence, Laura Rutledge and Holley Rowe and someday host my very own sports talk show or report from the sidelines.
Growing up, I was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, which is where my love for sports really began. After attending many games and listening to Eli Gold on the radio, I found a passion for broadcasting and became interested in elements of story telling.
When I am not perfecting my craft or attending sporting events, I like spending time with family, friends and my cute Mini Aussie, Rager.
